Job Summary:
The CEO of the largest MNC for the Retail - Financial Services industry, the chief executive must seek to increase consumer confidence in the industry and maximize the value of its membership. The CEO is accountable to the Board for the Association’s staff, office management, and the day-to-day operations of the Association; developing in conjunction with the Board a strategic plan for the organization; management of the Association within the overall limits defined by the Association’s mission and strategic plans as approved by the Board of Directors; and management of the Association within the annual operating budget as approved by the Executive Committee.

Reports to:Board of Directors

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that the strategic vision for the organization is defined, developed, and executed: establishes a strategic planning process that meets the needs of the membership; enacts the strategic plan within budgetary constraints; manages the organizational strategy in conjunction with the Board; attracts, develops, and retains the talent necessary to execute the organizational strategy; grows sources of operating income, maintains personal and professional integrity

• Ensure that the needs of organizational stakeholders are prioritized and managed:represents the organization’s interests to non-member constituencies; balances the budget and returns good value for the investment while remaining within spending guidelines; provides oversight of investment performance, which is managed by outside investors

• Ensures that all major processes are developed and run efficiently and effectively: in conjunction with the board chair, establishes, maintains and updates board governance; effectively oversees the budget process; efficiently manages oversight of the endowment with appropriate investment returns over time; manages fund raising practices in a way to ensure sufficient funds for lobbying and other purposes

• Ensures that members are provided with value: membership numbers and revenues meet targets; membership satisfaction with company programs and practices; monitor and strive to reduce attrition rates due to association actions; gather survey data for membership satisfaction; track enrollment statistics in various benefit programs offered

• Ensure that retailer and consumer interests are represented in social, environmental, political, and ethical decisions: looks to the future and anticipates potential issues so that the organization and its Board are prepared to handle them; acts as the external face of the organization and maintains its reputation in the industry; serves as an industry representative in government affairs: balances representation of retailer’s interest on outside boards with responsibilities as a Board member; establishes and maintains relationships with key stakeholders

• Other duties as the Board of Directors of the Association may, from time to time, direct

Our client Company is a growing and profitable Global Business Management consulting company. They are seeking a Vice President of Sales who is self-motivated and passionate about delivering tangible value to customers through their industry leading solutions, and building a high performing direct sales organization.

Our client company has developed a diversified and broad range of workforce science products, services, and organizational consulting with an emphasis on measurement and assessment technology. Their clients are some of the best and biggest companies in the world and they rely on them to improve their talent selection and organizational development processes. They offer their clients SaaS solutions for competency modeling, employee selection, talent management and leadership development. Additionally they have an international presence allowing them to support clients directly and indirectly through their distributors and consulting partners around the world. 

Reports to: CEO

Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Contributing member of the executive leadership team dedicated to building a best by any measure SaaS assessment and selection solutions business. 
  • Create and execute an effective direct sales coverage model in conjunction with the other company functions/departments. 
  • Increase revenues faster than overall market growth through marketshare gains. 


Operational

  • Achieve annual sales bookings and billings plan on a consistent quarterly basis 
  • Maximize potential of existing client base. 
  • In conjunction with consulting organization achieve 95% renewal rates on existing client licenses. 
  • Expand current direct sales capabilities by recruiting additional reps and coaching/developing existing reps. 
  • This is a hands on player-coach role.  


Scope-Today
  • Lead a team of Regional Sales Managers to achieve sales goals and customer volume objectives; develop annual performance objectives and monitor performance throughout the year
  • Execute sales strategy and ensure strategic alignment with the company’s strategic plan.
  • Assist Sales Team with closing contracts, client issue resolutions, and contract negotiations.
  • Coach and train sales staff in all aspects of their positions including new business development, relationship building with prospects, and strengthening sales strategy and targeted new business growth.
  • Act in the role of Executive Sponsor for prospective and new clients to provide escalation path and communication support.
  • Develop sales and expense forecasts for yearly Budget and Strategic Plan for the region; monitor performance monthly against budget targets and make appropriate adjustments to achieve company profit targets.
  • Work closely with sales and company leadership including other groups, functional departments and areas to assure collaboration, communication and teamwork to facilitate our common goals. 
  • Develop inside sales capability for pipeline/opportunity development to support success of existing and new reps. 


Experience Pre-Requisites

  • 15+years of Proven, successful record of accomplishment and advancement in the enterprise software / SaaS solutions / Employment Screening industries
  • Successful track record in leading enterprise sales teams
  • Experience in HR Technology strongly preferred
  • Experienced in negotiating and closing contracts with large strategic accounts
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and high level company best interest mindset
  • Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, and moving opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Ability to craft a solution that meets business goals based on clients’ discussions
  • Service-oriented and entrepreneurial approach
  • Goal-oriented working style
  • High self-motivation and commitment to excellence
  • In depth understanding of forecasts (able to read/quantify weakness and upsides) and able to forecast business with accuracy.

Compensation
$315K+ Per annum + Benefits
